All are welcome, and tea and coffee will be available. read more ... Refurbishment of Play Area on the Green Work has commenced on the planned refurbishment of the play area on Histon Green. The play area will be closed until the official opening on Sunday 1 July The project group have been working hard on the plans since January 2011 and have consulted widely during that time. As a result the decision was made to retain the existing much-loved slide but to introduce a range of exciting new equipment, including an area for toddlers. We have been very fortunate to receive grant funding from WREN and also Histon & Impington Feast Committee, which together with the Parish Council budget has enabled a quality and imaginative design to be taken forward We look forward to seeing the equipment giving pleasure to future generations of children in our villages Do your bit to get Cambridgeshire connected A major campaign launched today by the County Council is urging residents and businesses to do their bit to help secure superfast broadband for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. read more ... The Big Bike Ride charity cycle event is being staged on Sunday 8th July - the day after the Olympic torch arrives in Cambridge - and, in keeping with the theme, there will be a silver route of 20.12 kilometres (12.5 miles) and a gold route covering 201.2 kilometres (125 miles). read more ... |
