Impington Parish Council

Impington is a parish in South Cambridgeshire District, which is in the County of Cambridgeshire. The District Ward comprises Impington and Histon, which share a development boundary. There are three District Councillors. The County Electoral Division is also Histon, where there is one County Councillor. The Parliamentary Constituency is South East Cambridgeshire, and the European Constituency is Eastern Region.

The Council is comprised of eleven members, including Chairman and Vice-Chairman. It meets monthly (the third Monday in the month), and meetings are open to the public. Meetings are often held at the Church Hall, St Andrew's.

The Council employs a part time Clerk, and is responsible for the Village Cemetery, the Recreation Ground (jointly with Histon Parish Council), and the play facilities and open spaces in various locations. In addition it maintains some benches and bus shelters.

The Council is a Statutory Consultee on planning matters.
