Planning

The Council is a Statutory Consultee on planning matters. The Clerk will have complete records, and may be consulted, on planning matters in the Parish. For recent applications, the Clerk will also have to hand (or be able to locate) copies of plans etc, and members of the public are able to inspect those plans at reasonable times.

Policy

The Council actively contributes to, and works within, the plan led process, supporting District Local Plan (and now Local Development Framework), and County Structure Plan policies. Members have regular meetings with officers and Members of the District and County Councils.  In addition, District and County Members regularly attend Parish Council meetings.

Impington's population, whilst continuing to grow, has been altered significantly by changes in the parish boundary. for details

Development Proposals

The Council welcomes the opportunity to review development and re-development proposals in order to facilitate the planning process.  In this it has the support of the Planning Authority, South Cambridgeshire District Council.
