CCC advises:

‘Subsequent to the discovery of another guideway beam displacement on the Busway A track south of Histon, a team from Skanska have carried out an inspection of the affected beam.’

‘They will be returning on Sunday evening (27th) to excavate between the guideway beams, in order to assess the underlying cause for the displacement.’

‘If, as seems likely, the cause can be identified and rectified, the Busway should be back in good order by start of business on Monday morning; this will also allow the 10 mph speed restriction to be lifted.’
