Histon and Impington Fireworks Extravaganza 2014

This year’s Firework Extravaganza will be held on Saturday 8 November at Impington Village College.

Gates open at 6pm with the fireworks at 7pm.  There will be a BBQ and hog roast run by David Robinson with a range of hot drinks and cakes.  Plus a small fairground to keep young children amused.

Advance tickets are available now from Tucker Gardner, Daisy Chain, the Chop Shop, the Geographer and Station Stores.  Advance tickets are cheaper and you’ll avoid queues on the night.

We’re grateful to our lead sponsor, Tucker Gardner, and the sponsorship and support of Limetree, Precedence, The Red Lion, Enterprise Hire and Travis Perkins.

The show is one of the most exciting in the region, and raises money for the three schools in the village, so come along on 8 November and enjoy a local, family-friendly show.

Ticket prices advance/on the night
– Family ticket (2 adults plus as many children as you want to bring) £8/£10
– Adult ticket £4/£5
– Under 18 £1/£2

    • Dan Mace, on behalf of the organising team, replies:

      Hi Rachael,

At the risk of upsetting dog owners, I’d strongly advise not bringing dogs. A couple of reasons:

      – We go to some lengths to attract families to the event and in previous years it has been enjoyed by large numbers of children, some of whom are very young. The display starts quietly, and whilst we avoid the very loudest fireworks that can be used, we will build up to a crescendo at the finale. I would not want a dog to become upset in what is a crowded and noisy environment.

      – The event is held on the IVC playing fields. IVC doesn’t encourage the public to bring dogs onto the field at any time, as it is used for children’s sports.

I hope the above explains our reasoning, and that you enjoy the show.

      Thanks,

      Dan.
